Oh, Kizuna, what a culinary delight you turned out to be! 😍 Prepare your taste buds for a flavor-packed adventure, folks, because this restaurant had us dancing in our seats with every bite.

Our gastronomic journey kicked off with a trio of appetizers that set the bar high. The Edamame, a classic favorite, made for a delightful, snacky start. But the real show-stealers were the Buta Kakuni and the Gyoza. The Buta Kakuni deserves a standing ovation – pork belly slow-cooked to perfection in soya sauce and sake for a full 24 hours, then served with mustard on the side. It was like a symphony of flavors melting in our mouths. And the Gyoza? These pan-fried dumplings, filled with minced pork and accompanied by Ponzu sauce, were an irresistible dance of textures and tastes.

For the main course, our taste buds embarked on a journey of pure umami bliss. The Yudofu, a pot of tofu and veggies luxuriating in a savory broth, was comfort food at its finest. Each spoonful was a warm embrace for the senses, especially when dipped in that tangy Ponzu sauce. Then came the Tonkatsu, a crispy, breaded deep-fried pork loin cutlet that was both crunchy and tender. With not one but two dipping sauces, it was a savory dream come true. And last but not least, the Tonteki – a succulent pork loin steak drenched in ginger sauce, providing a perfect finale to our meal.

Now, about dessert – it might not have been our cup of tea (matcha crème brûlée, wasabi ice cream, and cheesecake in this case). But with a feast like this, who needs dessert anyway?

The cherry on top of this dining experience was the warm and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. And speaking of home, the cozy and intimate atmosphere at Kizuna was the perfect backdrop for our culinary adventure.
